Telugu Indian Idol 2 team is coming up with innovative strategies to keep audiences hooked to the show, on aha, every weekend. After Nandamuri Balakrishna, Baba Sehgal, Koti and SP Charan, it’s the turn of team RRR to make an appearance in the singing competition. Oscar-winning lyricist Chandrabose and Naatu Naatu singer Rahul Sipligunj were on the show this Friday, Saturday.
The special guests were witness to performances by the top 9 contestants. While the episode was a fine celebration of musical talents, who rendered some of the most iconic Telugu songs, Soujanya Bhagavathula was certainly the pick of the lot. She stole hearts with her rendition of Pedave Palikina Maatalone, the AR Rahman melody from Mahesh Babu starrer Nani.

In recognition of her talents, lyricist Chandrabose offered her a special gift–the pen that he’d used to write the lyrics for his Academy Award-winning song Naatu Naatu. Soujanya said she was honoured and grateful to receive this pen from Chandra Bose and called it a dream come true. “I will continue pursuing my passion for music and make the most of this opportunity,” she shared.
Chandrabose also expressed his happiness to be part of aha Telugu Indian Idol 2 and witness the finest singing talents from across the globe. He had high words of praise for Soujanya, calling it an outstanding performance and said he was confident about her progress in the industry. Interestingly, the lyricist is also a judge for another show - Padutha Theeyaga, streaming on ETV Win.
Hemachandra hosts the show while singers Karthik, Geetha Madhuri and composer S Thaman are the judges. Besides Telugu Indian Idol 2, aha has been in the news for several releases - Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, Das Ka Dhamki, the documentary aha Godari, Ottu and the Sreeleela starrer I Love You Idiot.
