Srijit Mukherji's film Tekka is coming in the Puja. The names and first looks of the lead cast are coming out one after the other. After Dev and Rukmini, Swastika Mukherjee is the new addition to the list.

Dev posted a photo of Swastika where she was seen standing wearing a kurta. She has cropped hair and kohled eyes, holding a Teddy bear. The caption states, 'All bets are off when the Queen of the boardroom Mothers the game! Introducing Ira!' It also states, “Shaheb, Bibi, Golam er deshe astine thak ‘Power! Authority! Justice!’ (In a country with a King, Queen, and Jack, let there be ‘Power! Authority! Justice!’).”

A few days back, Dev introduced Rukmini Moitra similarly. Rukmini's character's name is Maya, who rules the streets. Swastika will play a journalist here and Rukmini will play a cop. Anirban Chakraborty will play an important role. The film is produced by Dev Entertainment Ventures Private Limited. The film will be released on October 8.

This is the second project after Zulfiqar in which Srijit and Dev collaborated as director and actor. Last year, Dev and Srijit posted a photo and announced that they would release a film in 2024. Tekka also features Tota Roy Chowdhury, Kaushik Sen, Paran Bandyopadhyay, and others.

Dev will be back as an action hero in Khadaan

Meanwhile, Dev’s Khadaan will be released in December. The teaser shows that the actor is back as an action hero. He has been experimenting with his on-screen character. He started as a hero in mainstream commercial films. He then started acting in more serious and sensitive films. His Tonic, Projapoti, Pradhan, and several other films saw massive success at the box office.
