Tekka: Swastika Mukherjee praises her co-star Dev

Soon after his election ended in Ghatal, Dev got back to his work in the entertainment world. He was busy shooting Khadaan which will be resumed soon. Meanwhile, his collaboration with Srijit Mukherji in Tekka will be released during Puja. One-day shoot was left for the film.  

In Tekka, along with Rukmini Maitra, Swastika Mukherjee plays an important character. Swastika, who is known to be a fabulous actress, praised Dev wholeheartedly on her social media.  

Swastika shared a photograph with Dev on her social media. In the photo, the actress is seen wearing a blue salwar suit. Her hair is cropped. She poses with Dev, who is in a great T-shirt. She captioned it, “Our favourite hero, Dev.”

Earlier, Srijit said in an interview that Dev impressed Swastika with his solid acting skills. “Swastika is brilliant with her lines. She never misses a cue. Perhaps she changes it a bit but never misses a dialogue. In Tekka, Dev had a long sequence of talks, and then Swastika was supposed to throw her dialogue. She missed that. I cut the shot and she said sorry. She said she was seeing Dev and forgot her lines,” Srijit said. 

In fact, the director too claimed that he was in awe of Dev during their shooting. Srijit said, “Dev initially gave an expression that I saw in him many times. But as soon as I said something else, he completely changed himself. I never saw such an expression in him. Dev reconstructed himself in Tekka, and I am in his awe.”

Dev has been experimenting with his on-screen character. He started as a hero in mainstream commercial films. He then started acting in more serious and sensitive films. His Tonic, Projapoti, Pradhan, and several other films saw massive success at the box office.
