Teja Sajja made a name for himself as a child-actor with a flurry of popular films like Choodalani Vundhi, Tagore, Indra. Now, the all-grown up, handsome young man returned to the tinsel town with an appearance in Samantha's Oh Baby and officially made his debut as a lead with the zombie-comedy Zombie Reddy. He was later seen in Ishq, the Telugu remake of the Malayalam hit by the same name. His next release is the superhero film, Hanu-Man, written and directed by his good friend Prasanth Varma.

Commemorating the birthday of Teja Sajja today, the team of the Prasanth Varma directorial have unveiled a special poster featuring the actor. Dressed in traditional attire, Teja Sajja, with a towel wrapped around his head, is all-smiles while riding a bullock cart in the poster. Sporting long hair and beard, he plays the title role in the film inspired by the popular mythological character in a contemporary setting. The shoot is nearly complete and the film is expected to hit theatres later in 2022.

Amritha Aiyer is cast as the on-screen romantic interest of Teja Sajja in the film. Hanu-Man's power-packed cast includes names like Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Vinay Rai as well. Popular distributor K Niranjan Reddy is bankrolling the movie under Primeshow Entertainment. Chaitanya is the presenter. The film has as many as four composers -Anudeep Dev, Hari Gowra, Jay Krish and Krishna Saurabh. Dasaradhi Shivendra is the cinematographer and SB Raju Talari is the editor respectively.

Srinagendhra Tangala and Lanka Santhoshi are the production designer and the costume desginer. Prasanth Varma-owned firm Scriptsville has come up with the screenplay. Hanu-Man will have a pan-Indian release across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. The film is believed to have heavy VFX/CGI work. After Hanu-Man, Prasanth Varma is all set to direct Kalyan Dasari's launch vehicle, Adheera, also a superhero project. Kalyan Dasari is the son of RRR producer DVV Danayya.
