Ananya Nagalla has been on a film signing spree lately. While the actress made her debut with Mallesham, she has hogged the limelight for her unique script selection. Despite having brief roles, she went onto act in multiple mainstream films like Vakeel Saab, Shaakuntalam, Maestro. Her other films like Play Back, Malli Pelli too have piqued the curiosity of viewers.

She is also set to make her OTT debut with ZEE5’s drama Bahishkarana and has many films in her kitty including Anveshi, the female-centric Lechindi Mahila Lokam, Nawabu, to name a few. We hear the actress has also signed her first horror film titled Tantra; the project was formally announced commemorating her birthday this week. The first look of the film was launched recently.

In the first look of Tantra, Ananya’s face is covered by hands of multiple hues - grey, red and black and she is understandably scared. Her character in the film is reportedly tormented by evil forces that are well-versed in paranormal rituals. The film promises to give audiences a glimpse of the great secrets of the tantra shastras unique to India.

Srihari’s son Dhanush is set to make his acting debut with the horror thriller as well. His brother Meghansh already forayed into films with the action romance Rajdooth a few years ago. Saloni, Temper Vamsi, Meesala Lakshman and others play key roles in the film directed by Srinivas Gopisetti. Naresh Babu P and Ravi Chaitanya are bankrolling the film under First Copy Movies, Be The Way Films, V Film Factory.

Tantra boasts of a top notch technical crew. Sai Ram Uday, who cranked the camera for Raju Yadav, is the cinematographer for the film. SB Uddhav, the technician who worked on films like Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy and Mithunam, is the editor. RR Dhruvan scores the music and famous sound designer Jyoti Chetia is also part of the crew.
