Vijay Antony's long-delayed action entertainer Tamilarasan has finally got a release date. The film is all set to hit screens on March 31. The film has Ramya Nambeesan playing the leading lady. Vijay Antony will play the titular character and will portray the role of a cop. Music for the film is by Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja. The trailer of the film was released earlier in December. The release date has been postponed a number of times and fans of the actor are hoping that the film indeed hits screens on the new announced date.

In the meantime, Vijay Antony is recovering from the injuries that he got after he met with an accident on the sets of his upcoming film Pichaikkaran 2. The actor was shooting a sequence involving a speedboat in Malaysia, when his boat crashed into a bigger boat nearby. Pichaikkaran 2, which is releasing in Tamil, will also hit screens Malayalam (Bhikshakkaran2), Telugu (Bichagadu2) and Kannada (Bhikshuka2) and Hindi. Vijay Antony has also doubled up as the producer and director of the film. The film is a sequel to Pichaikkaran (2016), which was directed by Sasi. The plot revolved around a rich businessman who had to pretend to be a beggar for 48 days for a reason. Pichaikkaran 2 is likely to drop in theatres on the occasion of the Tamil New Year (April 14).

Vijay Antony has a series of films in the pipeline, which includes Ratham, Kolai, Valli Mayil, Mazhai Pidikkatha Manithan, Khaki to name a few.
