The digital division of Dharma Productions, named Dharmatic Entertainment, which is owned by Karan Johar, is expanding its library of titles. Reports suggest that Tamannaah Bhatia stars in a new web series for Prime Video, with a wacky and tipsy name as the title.

Tamannaah Bhatia leads new Prime Video series

As per reports in Peeping Moon, two women who are interested in starting their own business are the focus of this dramedy. Tamannah has already been cast as the lead, while casting for the second female lead is still ongoing. The project is scheduled to begin production in mid-March or early April, with pre-production concluding shortly after.

This comedic drama will be Archit Kumar's second Dharmatic production following the forthcoming Hollywood drama Showtime; he previously directed Imtiaz Ali's SonyLIV series Dr. Arora. Archit and Nishant Nayak co-created the show, with the latter having helmed numerous unscripted productions, including Shark Tank India and Coke Studio. Mithun Gangopadhyay, Aarsh Vora, and Nandini Gupta are the writers.

Dharmatic and Prime Video

Dharmatic Entertainment's collaboration with Prime Video continues with this series too. This show will be their third collaboration after Ae Watan Mere Watan, a story about independence fighters, with Sara Ali Khan, and Call Me Bae, with Ananya Panday. After Jee Karda on Prime Video and Aakhiri Sach, a mystery thriller on Disney+Hotstar, this will be Tamanaah's third Hindi web series.

In 2024, three of the most prominent OTT platforms will host the premieres of five projects curated by Dharmatic Entertainment. Showtime, starring Emraan Hashmi and Naseeruddin Shah, premieres on Disney+Hotstar, whereas Ae Watan Mere Watan and Call Me Bae will be available on Prime Video. The third season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives will drop on Netflix, and the investigative fantasy drama Gyaarah Gyaarah, which stars Kritika Kamra, Dhairya Karwa, and Raghav Juyal, will be streaming on ZEE5.

The Tamil horror comedy Arnamanai 4, Bole Chudiyan with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Vedaa, starring John Abraham, are the three upcoming films of Tamannaah.
