Danny and Michael Philippou's Talk to Me emerged as an impactful commercial and critical success earlier this year. The Australian supernatural horror film was praised by critics and audiences alike for its utilization of the genre and for lending a unique edge to the story to render a trademark "21st-century" flick.
Talk to Me follows a bunch of teenagers who learn of the mysterious powers of an embalmed hand and when they attempt to contact spirits through that device, things go way too far than they could ever imagine. Sophie Wilde, Alexandra Jensen, Joe Bird, Miranda Otto, Zoe Terakes, Chris Alosio and others star in the film.
When and where to watch Talk to Me on OTT
Talk to Me first hit the news at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival where it attracted multiple international distributors. The film released worldwide on 27 July 2023 and managed to collect close to $90 million against a mere $4.5 million budget.
And now, following a super successful theatrical run, the Aussie horror thriller is all set to drop on OTT. One could imagine the film to be nothing less than "hot property" as far as streaming rights are concerned but the Indian audiences will soon be able to find the film on Book My Show stream. The Philippou brothers' film will premiere on the platform on Sunday, October 15, 2023.
A prequel and sequel in the works
Talk to Me fans out there would, of course, be thrilled to know that Danny and Michael Philippou have already completed shooting the prequel to the 2023 film, with the new instalment focusing on Duckett's characters and potentially the events leading up to his rather gruesome demise in the film. The sequel, on the other hand, is already in development and reportedly, the director-duo has already penned down the sequences for the film. Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman, who wrote the first instalment, will return as writers.
