Ghazal singer and actor Talat Aziz, who recently appeared in the Sharmila Tagore and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Gulmohar, said that he is excited to play Hrithik Roshan's father in the action film Fighter.
In a special conversation, the actor-singer spoke about his upcoming projects.
Talat told OTTplay, "I have played a major role in the series Scam 2003, which is directed by Hansal Mehta. I have also signed a three-season web series in which I play a pivotal part. But I am not allowed to talk about it just yet. This apart, I am very excited about Fighter, in which I play Hrithik Roshan's father. Woh bahat bada role toh nahi hai. Bas do scenes hai, but they are very emotional scenes... maza ayega. When the makers approached me, I asked them why me. But they wanted only me to play the part. I am looking forward to all these projects."
In the recent past, Talat has acted in Fitoor, Scam 1992, and the anthology Modern Love: Mumbai.
Fighter is directed by Sidharth Anand and also stars Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, and Birol Tarkan Yildiz.
Gulmohar, in which Talat played a special character, is directed by Rahul V Chittella, also stars Amol Palekar, Simran, Suraj Sharma, Kaveri Seth, and Utsavi Jha.
Gulmohar is an emotional family drama that revolves around the Batra family, the relationship between two generations, and how it changes with time. The story follows the family's 31-year-old house, and what happens when the members of the family decide to leave and relocate to another city.
Gulmohar is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
