Asim Abbasi, a British-Pakistani film director, screenwriter, and producer is all set for the release of his upcoming drama titled 'Barzakh.' The supernatural tale is set in the heart of the Hunza Valley. Starring Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed, the show promised an astonishing story in Barzakh, set against the stunning Hunza Valley backdrop. With new episodes dropping every Tuesday and Friday at 8 p.m. IST, Zindagi's YouTube and ZEE5 (OTTplay Premium) will begin releasing Barzakh at the same time starting July 19.

The story of the film revolves around Zara (Sanam Saeed) from London, who joins her sister Zareen (Aamina Sheikh) when their father falls ill in Karachi. Soon, the old secrets of the family surface and it creates tensions in the family. The show stars Aamina Sheikh, Sanam Saeed, and Adnan Malik in the lead roles. 

Churails on ZEE5

This Pakistani web series revolves around Karachi's secret detectives who are on a mission to expose the city's elite but unfaithful husbands. The show focuses on the hypocrisy of patriarchal societies trying to vanish women and their rights. Written and directed by Asim Abbasi, the show stars Sarwat Gilani, Mehar Bano, Nimra Bucha, and Yasra Rizvi. 

Whore on YouTube

Written and directed by Asim Abbasi, Whore stars Amy Rawlings, Garry Mannion, and Nico Diodoro. The short film revolves around a jealous husband who is seeking the truth about his wife's infidelity. However, things take a turn as the events with unexpected consequences take place.  

Little Red Roses on YouTube

Starring Miraal Sara, Little Red Roses tells the story of a young girl who is on the cusp of puberty and dresses as a boy to sell roses on the streets of Karachi. The 15-minute thought-provoking short film teaches adults to be comfortable in their own skin.
