Sandhya Mridul, known for her appearances in films like Saathiya and Page 3, as well as for placing second in the reality competition Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa 2, recently spoke on the impact of criticism on her and her approach to handling it.
During an interaction with ANI, she proclaimed that she had never read reviews or comments. Despite the acclaim the actor received for her performance in her film, Page 3, she decided to stop reading newspapers at home. No, Sandhya doesn't care about any of that; she knows what she has done, and if she hasn't done a good job, she will be the first to admit it and make up for it in the future. The actor welcomes and appreciates feedback, but she doesn't put much stock in the opinions of others.
Sandhya, known for her roles in films like Socha Na Tha and Deadline: Sirf 24 Ghante, as well as television shows like Swabhimaan and Aashirwad, is currently portraying the historical figure of Jodha Bai in the web series Taj: Reign of Revenge Season 2. The actor had earlier appeared in Mentalhood, the ZEE5 series featuring Karisma Kapoor in the lead role.
She explained how her characterization grew over Season 2 and how her relationship with Aashim Gulati's Salim developed. What she can say is that Salim and Jodha's relationship develops and that they both become more outspoken and emotional in their interpersonal interactions. As they grow closer, Jodha becomes a role model and protector for her kid. Salim, in the meantime, is starting to understand his mother on a deeper level. It's about time Jodha proved she's the queen she always was and not just a mom.
Sandhya plays Naseeruddin Shah's onscreen wife in the historical drama. Season 2 of Taj: Reign of Revenge is now available on ZEE5.
