Taj: Divided By Blood Twitter review: Netizens call Naseeruddin Shah, Aditi Rao Hydari’s show a ‘must watch’

With its star studded cast, intriguing historical story and regal aesthetics, Taj: Divided By Blood was a show that netizens definitely looked forward to. The historical drama traced a story from the era of the Mughals, chronicling a period in Akbar’s regime where he declares an unprecedented way to choose his successor. In addition to the fascinating story, the film also boasted of a star studded cast, including Naseeruddin Shah, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aashim Gulati, Rahul Bose, Zarina Wahab, Sandhya Mridul and Taaha Shah. So it was no surprise that a number of netizens rushed to watch the show when it premiered on March 3 and some of them took to Twitter to talk about it.

Majority of the viewers seemed to have been impressed by the show, and praised its performances and visuals. Calling it a ‘breath of fresh air’, one user spoke of how it had a refreshing story despite the fact that a lot of people already knew the basic story from history lessons. “Taj discovers the undiscovered with a pinch of functional drama. It delivers in every aspect and unfolds as a powerful series”, wrote another.

The breathtaking visuals of the show was something that most people became mesmerized by. While one user praised its ‘mind blowing’ attention to detail, another called it a ‘visual feast’. Another called it ‘Top class’, and yet another said that the visuals were absolutely surreal.

Naseeruddin’s performance definitely struck a chord with many, with one user praising his ‘incredible’ performance. Another said that it was the actor’s performance that seemed to elevate the show.

Although one user did not find Naseeruddin’s performance up to the mark, they did appreciate the performances of the other stars such as Aashim, Aditi and Zarina. Dharmendra too was praised by another user for his portrayal.
