Is Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah going off-air?

Last year, media reports suggested that Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah could be going off-air. However, producer Asit Kumarr Modi dismissed the speculations and said that TMKOC is going nowhere. Modi also promised that either Disha Vakani or somebody else would soon join the show as Daya Ben.

"I’m here to entertain my audience and I will never lie to my viewers. Only due to certain circumstances, we are unable to bring Daya’s character back on time. But, that does not mean that the character is not going to enter the show at all! Whether it is Disha Vakani or someone else, the time will tell," he said.

Meanwhile, the star cast of TMKOC includes Dilip Joshi as Jethalal, Munmun Dutta as Babita, Shyam Pathak as Popatlal, Mandar Chandwadkar as Bhide, Tanuj Mahashabde as Iyer among others. The show airs on Sony Sab.
