Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s ‘Tappu’ Raj Anadkat engaged to ‘Babita Ji’ Munmun Dutta? Here's the latest scoop

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most popular sitcoms on Television. The show is always mentioned whenever audiences reveal their favorite shows. While it is famous for its entertaining characters, people also keep track of the personal lives of the actors in the show. As we all know Raj Anadkat, who portrayed the character of Tappu, and Munmun Dutta who is seen as Babita Ji have made several headlines for their dating rumors. Well, it has now been reported that the duo got engaged. 

Munmun Dutta got engaged to Raj Anadkat?

Yes, you read that right! TMKOC actors Munmun and Raj are said to be engaged according to a recent report by News18 Showsha. Munmun, who is 36 years old, and Raj, who is 27 years old, in the presence of their respective families, exchanged rings earlier this month in Gujarat. 

"The engagement took place just a few days back. The two apparently exchanged rings in Vadodara (Gujarat). Munmun and Raj’s families have accepted their relationship and they were also present at the ceremony," the source was quoted as saying. It is to be noted that while Munmun still plays the role of Babita Ji, Raj announced his exit from the show in December 2022.

The source further revealed details about their relationship citing that Raj and Munmun have been in a relationship since the time Raj joined the cast of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. "They have been dating ever since Raj joined Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. It was very evident. Everyone on the sets knew about it. In fact, some people were certain that Munmun and Raj would get married eventually. Therefore, it is not shocking that they are engaged now," said the source.

The speculations about their relationship started in September 2021, when TOI reported that everyone associated with the show knows about their love. 

However, both of them kept denying about their relationship. Munmun even posted about the same on social media. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Babita Ji had written: "To the media and their zero credibility ‘journos’, who has given you the right to post ‘imaginary’ ‘made up’ articles in people’s name about their private life without their consent? Are you liable to the damage that you cause to their lives with your reckless behaviour? You don’t stop at shoving your cameras on the face of a grieving woman who just lost her love or lost her son, in a funeral, just for your TRPs. You can stoop to any level to create sensational articles/headlines at the cost of someone’s dignity, but are you going to take responsibility for wrecking havoc in their lives?? If no then, you should be ashamed of yourself!!"
