Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Palak Sindhwani quits the show, accuses makers of emotionally blackmailing and threatening her

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, while it continues to be one of the top shows on Indian television, is also facing some dark clouds behind the scenes. The BTS drama of the SAB TV show has been making headlines, and not for all the right reasons. We’ve heard of actors being treated poorly, claims of a toxic work environment, inappropriate behavior from the main man Asit Kumar Modi, and much more. It turns out the show is now suffering another big blow, as Palak Sindhwani, who plays the much-loved character Sonu Bhide on the show, has now quit TMKOC and is serving the last few days of her notice period. However, her exit is also tumultuous, as she has accused the makers of emotionally blackmailing her and threatening her with consequences.

Palak Sindhwani Quits Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

Palak Sindhwani joined Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah four years ago after Nidhi Bhanushali’s exit. The actor played Sonu Bhide and was loved for her performance. However, recently, rumors of her exit made the news, and she had to lie and debunk them, saying she is still on the show and has not faced any legal notice or consequences. It turns out the actor has now confirmed her exit from the show and has also confirmed that her last day is September 30, 2024. Read on to know everything you should about the same.

In a statement, as per Money Control, Palak Sindhwani expressed her disappointment over the false allegations and legal actions regarding her exit from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. "Palak denies all allegations, asserting that no breach of agreement occurred as the same is bad in law. Palak had communicated her intention to leave well in advance on August 8, 2024, due to ongoing health and personal issues, and even met with the producer to discuss this, expressing her willingness to serve a reasonable notice period."

"After several requests, she received her contract copy on September 19, 2024, for the first time, as they said they didn’t give contract copies five years ago. Despite her efforts to leave amicably, she has faced unfair treatment from the production team, including emotional blackmail and threats of consequences for her decision,” the statement reads.

Further in the statement, she clarified how she has been working on various endorsements without any objections, and she was also doing the same even before she agreed to star in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. It was only when Palak Sindhwani decided to quit the show due to personal reasons that the producers crafted false stories and narratives to harass her. She even revealed that the producers are yet to clear her pending dues.
