Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most-loved sitcoms on Indian television. Produced by Asit Kumarr Modi, the show has been running successfully for 16 years. Despite the changes in the star cast, TMKOC continues to be the audience's favorite sitcom. Team TMKOC was pleasantly surprised when American actor Kal Penn visited the set recently. He interacted with the star cast and shared his thoughts about the Dilip Joshi-starrer.
Kal Penn visits Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah set
Kal Penn thanked Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for inviting him to visit his show's set. Sharing his thoughts about the sitcom, Kal said TMKOC is one of the most-watched shows in the world. In an official statement, Kal admitted he loves TMKOC, starring Dilip Joshi as Jethalal. "It’s truly remarkable how it brings people joy," he added.

A video, shared on TMKOC's YouTube channel, features Kal interacting with Asit Kumarr Modi and Dilip Joshi. He also happily clicked selfies with actors Munmun Dutta, Suanayana Fozdar and others. Regarding the show's legacy, producer Asit mentioned that TMKOC has made people laugh for 16 years without leaps or changing seasons.
He further spoke about Kal Penn's visit. "Seeing artists like Kal Penn as fans of our work is incredibly inspiring. The love for TMKOC fuels us to keep going," added Modi.

After visiting the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah set, Kal Penn shared a bunch of photos on his Instagram account. The caption to his social media post read: "Looking at an apartment in Gokuldham Society with some new friends. Thanks to officialasitkumarrmodi ji & the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fam for the set visit. Nicest cast & crew, I appreciate you showing me around! (sic)."
