Jethalal (Dilip Joshi), Babita ji (Munmun Dutta) and Iyer (Tanuj Mahashabde)’s nok jhok continues on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. As always, Jethalal could not stop praising Babita ji. On the other hand, he couldn’t stop taunting Iyer.
In the latest episode of the show, Jethalal tells Babita ji she did ‘bahut zabardast’ dance. When Iyer asked Jethalal about how he found his dance, the instant response was ‘bahut kharab’. Jethalal then elaborated and said that Iyer danced like ‘bijli ka current lag gaya ho.’
For the uninitiated, Iyer was ‘Shaking It Like Shammi’, which he also mentioned right after ‘Jethiya’ (how Babuji calls Jethalal)’s statement. Cutting Jethalal off, Babuji (Amit Bhatt) said that he enjoyed Iyer’s dance way too much and could not get his eyes off ‘Aiy Aiy Yo.’
Gokuldham society witnessed the magic of retro. Bagha (Tanmay Vekaria) instantly stated that the song touched him in a way that he felt like they were made for him and ‘Bawree ji (Monika Bhadoriya).’
Like Iyer, Sodhi (Balwinder Singh Suri)’s dance also became a topic of discussion. This time, Babuji questioned Sodhi for grooving like he wants a drink. Now those who know Sodhi, do know that he is an alcoholic and loves some liquor at any given point of time. Any party for him is incomplete without liquor but the women of Gokuldham and of course, Babuji and Bagha do not approve of that.
In his defence, Jethalal told Babuji that Sodhi wanted to drink lassi. Babuji’s reaction to that is completely unmissable!
While talking about retro songs, these cute Gokuldham members could not miss including Mohammed Rafi. The show also stated some facts about the iconic singer like him being born in Punjab and being a mechanic. While this happened, the show’s ‘forever single’ man Popatlal (Shyam Pathak) absolutely drooled over the icon everyone in India and even outside of it still loves.
After talking about Mohammad Rafi, Babuji and Taarak (Shailesh Lodha) spoke about Mukesh (Neil Nitin Mukesh’s grandfather) and Nitin (the actor’s father). Taarak also recalled a fact about Mukesh that you absolutely cannot miss knowing.
While talking about Raj Kapoor and Charlie Chaplin, the Gokuldham members spoke about Abdul (Sharad Sankla). Everyone praised his recent dance performance, where he brought out an act imitating both the legendary actors who re-invented comedy.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah airs on Sony TV and streams on Sony LIV. The show has been one of the longest-running shows on Indian TV. The episodes start streaming nearly a day after it airs on Television.
