Jethalal wanted to surprise Gokuldham society members with fire crackers on Diwali, but he was the one left surprised. The members did not find a way to burst the fire crackers. This led to doubt that Jethalal is the victim of fraud. Here’s everything that unfolded on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (available for streaming on SonyLIV via OTTplay Premium) last night…
Babita wants Jethalal to burst the fire crackers. On hearing so, Jethalal can barely control his happiness. Popatlal refutes the opinion by stating that Babita cannot decide by herself. Iyer agrees to it, and instantly, Jethalal's smile is gone.
Bapuji asks for poll through chits containing the names of all the society members, and everybody agrees to it. Jethalal calls out Popatlal for his rejection in everything. He then asks how would Popatlal react if Jethalal would get the opportunity again, and Popatlal calls it destiny.
Tapu sena takes the initiative to make the chits. Sonu picks a chit and just as the members get curious, Sonu keeps the suspense going before revealing it is Babita who can burn the fire crackers. Jethalal takes the opportunity and holds her hand to congratulate her. He even calls her extremely lucky, recalling how Babita got lucky even by winning the car through lucky draw. Babita further gets Jethalal excited by stating that he is related to her luck, since even with the car, Jethalal brought the offer to them.
Before Babita can burst the crackers, Iyer has a suggestion. He wishes to burst crackers on the ground before launching them in the sky. The members agree, and Tapu sena takes the lead in doing so.
Babita heads over to burst the cracker but finds no way of doing so. Just as she states that she wants to burn the vaat, Jethalal gets confused. Thus, Bhide explains she is talking about vaat, but Jethalal asks in Gujarati what does Bhide wish to talk about, thus leading to a hilarious situation. Bhide then goes on to check to and realizes there is no baati to burn. Jethalal also goes on to check and upon not finding it, asks Bagha to check where the baati is. Bagha tries to call Ramnik, who sold the fire crackers, but his phone is unreachable. Thus, Iyer assumes that Jethalal has become the victim of a scam.
