Now that Tapu Sena won Rs. 11,11,111 and donated it all to Abdul, so the shopkeeper can continue opening his soda shop in Gokuldham society, Abdul can finally reveal the real reason why he wanted such a huge amount. Abdul had the purest intentions behind the big ask, leaving all the society members touched. Here’s what happened in the latest episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (streaming on SonyLIV via OTTplay Premium)…
Abdul talks about Rahim chacha from his village, who helped his family out of trouble. He also states that the soda shop is because of Rahim chacha, who died during COVID-19. Abdul then talks about Rahim chacha's daughter, who lives with her mama. Abdul required Rs. 10 lacs to fulfill her education needs. He tried to sell his shop so that she could study.
On hearing his intentions, all the Gokuldham society members and Bagha, Bawri, and Natu Kaka are touched. Bapuji praises the Lord, and Popatlal scolds Abdul for not stating the matter beforehand. Bhide says he would've joined hands, too. Taarak Mehta also states that they would've contributed, and Abdul wouldn't have to sell his shop in the first place. Abdul would've refused anyway because the members would be pressured. Hearing his thoughts, Popatlal scolds him again. Abdul then states that it is his responsibility alone.
Bapuji praises Abdul and calls the society members lucky to have him. Everybody joins in to state they are very proud of Abdul, and the shopkeeper gets a salute from Iyer.
Popatlal talks of how Tapu Sena won the dahi handi contest, and with it, Rs. 11,11,111. While Iyer states he feels like he's still dreaming, Popatlal pinches him to confirm it is the reality. However, the reaction leaves Iyer shocked and in pain. The praises for Tapu Sena continue, and Popatlal asks Bhide to praise them, too. While he does, Bhide also warns them not to put themselves at risk all the time. Tapu promises not to and asks Bhide to relax. Sodhi demands a party but with dancing on songs, and the Gokuldham society members agree to it readily.
