Taapsee Pannu-Tahir Raj Bhasin starrer Looop Lapeta makes it to global top 10 non-English Netflix films

Within three days of its release, Looop Lapeta has made it into the global top 10 non-English films. The adventure-comedy film starring Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin is ranked in the fourth position on the global list. Until now, Looop Lapeta has been watched for 2,460,000 hours this week. The film is the Hindi adaptation of the 1998 hit German film titled Run Lola Run, featuring Franka Potente and Moritz Bleibtreu in the lead roles.

Looop Lapeta is also ranked in the numero uno position as the most-watched title in the last week on Netflix. The whole team behind the film shared their excitement on their social media pages.

Aakash Bhatia directed the comedy thriller Looop Lapeta, which was co-produced by Sony Pictures Films India, Ellipsis Entertainment, and Aayush Maheshwari.

The film follows Savi (played by Taapsee Pannu) as she tries to save her boyfriend, Satya (played by Tahir Raj Bhasin) after he loses money belonging to a mobster. Satya's freedom is at stake. Savi is racing against the clock to save the day—if only she could make the right decisions.

Earlier, in a statement, while talking about the film, Pannu had said that Looop Lapeta will always hold a special place in her heart. The moment she read the script, she fell in love with the characters and the story! The film is about Savi's decisions and how those decisions shape her journey with the one she loves, added Pannu. 

The actor went on to share that Looop Lapeta, a perfect blend of comedy and thriller, will keep one on the edge of their seat while they laugh at the ridiculous situation that Savi and Satya have found themselves in.

Whereas Tahir is beyond thrilled to have his second project with Netflix released in less than a month and to now begin the adrenaline rush of Satya and Savi's rollercoaster ride against time. The actor added that their electric chemistry will make one laugh, cry, and keep one on the edge of their seat as the couple's risky choices play out.
