The film, written and directed by Veerabhadram Chowdary, is a crime comedy in the making

Mathu Vadalara, Senapathi fame actor Naresh Agastya is shooting for a flurry of projects lately. One among them is the comeback film of director Veerabhadram Chowdary, the man behind films like Poola Rangadu and Aha Na Pellanta, whose muhurat shoot was held a few weeks ago. The film is being bankrolled by Nabishaik and Thumu Narsimha Patel under Deccan Dream Works and Jayadurgadevi Multimedia banners respectively.
The leading lady of the aforementioned project was officially announced today. The makers have confirmed that the crime comedy will feature Swetha Avasthi of Merise Merise fame as the female lead. Swetha will join the unit in the first schedule of the film that commences later this month. Given it's a make-or-break project for Veerabhadram Chowdary, the filmmaker has taken immense care to come up with a script with a unique concept.
Anup Rubens is composing the music for the film. Other details abotu the cast, crew and other technicians will be formally announced shortly. Naresh Agastya's next release is Amazon Prime Video's anthology Modern Love Hyderabad, where he features in a segment named Why Did She Leave Me There, directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. The segment also features Suhasini Maniratnam in a pivotal role. Apart from Nagesh, other shorts in the film are directed by Venkatesh Maha, Uday Gurrala, Devika Bahudhanam.
The other actors in Modern Love Hyderabad include Nithya Menen, Revathy, Aadhi Pinisetty, Ritu Varma, Naresh, Ulka Gupta, Divya Vani and others, to name a few. After Modern Love Hyderabad, Naresh Agastya will also be seen in an important role in Happy Birthday, a surreal comedy headlined by Lavanya Tripathi.
