Swathimuthyam trailer: Ganesh and Varsha Bollamma star in a quirky wedding comedy

Swathimuthyam, the family entertainer, launches producer Bellamkonda Suresh's son Ganesh as an actor alongside actress Varsha Bollamma. The film, written and directed by Lakshman K Krishna, is bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the leading banner Sithara Entertainments in association with writer-filmmaker Trivikram's Fortune Four Cinemas. Ahead of its theatrical release for Dasara on October 5, the film's trailer was launched amidst the cast and crew at AMB Cinemas, Hyderabad today.

The trailer commences with a boy-meets-girl scenario where Ganesh and Varsha Bollamma meet at a coffee shop and the latter reminisces about a movie with a similar situation. Ganesh is instantly smitten by the girl and decides that she's indeed his soul mate. Varsha takes time to respond to his advances and nods in agreement. Just when their mutual interest is leading them towards a marriage, an unusual problem in Ganesh's life upsets equations.

Vennela Kishore says Ganesh that they're in a mess and the latter tries every trick in the book to sort out the situation. There's miscommunication, there are misunderstandings but the trailer makes it clear that Ganesh is innocent and has his heart at the right place. Will Ganesh and Varsha unite eventually? Despite the familiar premise, Lakshman K Krishna's taste for humour and the wacky scenarios promise an ideal festive treat for audiences this Dasara.

Naresh, Rao Ramesh, Subbaraju, Vennela Kishore, Harshavardhan, Pammi Sai, Sapthagiri, Goparaju Ramana, Siva Narayana, Pragathi, Surekha Vani and Sunaina, Divya Sripada play supporting roles in the film. Mahati Swara Sagar scores the music for the entertainer which has cinematography by Suryaa and is edited by Navin Nooli. PDV Prasad is the presenter of the film. Two songs from the film have made an impression on music buffs already.
