Randeep Hooda made his directorial debut with his recent film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. The film opened to poor reviews by critics and audiences and is currently streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. In the film, the actor is seen portraying the role of Veer Savarkar and now the makers of the film have released a video where we can see the transformation of the actor into the character.

Taking to their social media account, the official account of ZEE5 shared a video where we can see the hard work that the actor has done to perfect his character. From being behind the camera, checking the shots, and perfecting the hair and makeup to taking a swim in the river, the actor has done it all to make sure to deliver what his role demands.
Sharing the video, the makers captioned it - "The artist, just like the legend. Passionate, hardworking, and limitless. Watch now the making of #SwatantryaVeerSavarkar. Now streaming, only on ZEE5."

Swatantrya Veer Savarkar was released in cinemas on 22nd March 2024. After two months, on May 28, on the 141st birth anniversary of freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the film was released on OTT. The film, which is now streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium, also stars Ankita Lokhande in the pivotal role.
After the release of the film, actor Randeep Hooda was also honored by Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Purushkar. At the ceremony, the actor said, "I am thankful to every person who is a part of this event and to Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Smarak for considering me worthy of this award. While researching for the film about his life, I realised that one story, one contribution, one sacrifice, and one life dedicated to a single motive had not reached millions of Indians."
