Randeep Hooda and Ankita Lokhande's film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar was released in cinemas earlier this year in March. Two months after its theatrical release, the movie is now available for streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. The Hooda directorial had its digital release on th 141st birth anniversary of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar (May 28). On this occasion, Randeep also shared a new motion poster of the film on social media.

Randeep Hooda took to his official X account and shared the motion poster of Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. While sharing the same, the actor wrote, "On his 141st Birth Anniversary, relive the story of the one who sparked a Revolution against all odds & became the Most Dangerous Revolutionary of India (sic)."
In another tweet, the Bollywood actor urged people to watch the story of the most influential and visionary revolutionary of India, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. The actor reposted PM Narendra Modi's tweet on the platform and motivated people to watch the movie.

Meanwhile, in an interview with ANI, Randeep Hooda revealed he studied Vinayak Damodar Savarkar's life story and got involved in the process while trying to portray his character on the big screen.
"When people who knew Veer Savarkar, like his family and those close to him, such as the Mangeshkar family, gave me a pat on the back saying that I portrayed him very well, truthfully, and powerfully, it felt great because such validation is often very rare," he revealed.

As far as Swatantrya Veer Savarkar's theatrical release is concerned, it opened to mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. The box office performance of the film wasn't good either. However, Randeep has revealed that he has recovered the money he invested in this movie, which stars Ankita as Yamuna Bai.
