From Azmeri Haq Badhon to Jaya Ahsan, Chanchal Chowdhury, and Afran Nisho – a number of Bangladeshi artistes are well-acclaimed in India. A number of Indian actors and actresses work in the Bangladesh entertainment industry on a regular basis. As per sources, Swastika Mukherjee will also work in a Bangladeshi film. Primarily, it was heard that she might pair up with Chanchal. However, now the speculations are rife that she will be seen opposite Afzal Hossain.

According to Bangladesh media, Swastika will be seen in Kamrul Islam Rifat’s Eleven One. She will be seen as an important character. The talks were on for a while and now it has been confirmed. “Swastika will be seen opposite Afzal Hossain,” the report said.

In an interview with Bangladeshi media, the director said that the film may go on the floors by this year. Swastika is expected to be in Bangladesh by then. Afzal and Swastika will shoot in Gajipur, Dhanmandi and Gulshan. This will be Swastika’s second film in Bangladesh after Sabar Opore Tumi opposite Shakib Khan in 2008.

Swastika may also collaborate with the Bangladeshi OTT platform Chorki. In an interview with OTTplay, she said, “In 2021, we had initial talks on working with them. But that did not work out then, I definitely want to work with them. Many Bangladeshi productions are fascinating. I am a fan of their artistes – actors and directors. I am an avid consumer of Bangladeshi content and I will be delighted to work on their projects,” she said. Swastika is known to work on projects beyond the known makers and production houses.

By her own admission, she loves to work with new directors. “I work with new teams and creative people. If the work is good, I am cool. I love new directors. All I look for is their understanding of the work. They must know what they are doing. I don’t mind compromising on my comfort for good work. But if the team is not professional then I am off.”
