Jhilmil, a character played by Swastika Dutta, started her journey three months ago as Bengal’s youngest mother-in-law in Khola Hawa. Swastika’s serial with a new taste has touched the viewers’ hearts, despite it lagging behind Anurager Chhowa in TRP. But suddenly the channel authority decided to change the slot of the serial. From March 27, the new Zee Bangla mega Mukut will replace Khola Hawa in the 9.30 pm slot. Khola Hawa will come to the 3 pm slot.
This created controversy on social media. Swastika's fans are disappointed. It is also rumored that the actress said she would not be in the project due to the change in slot. Hindustan Times Bangla contacted Swastika and the actress dismissed the claim. She clearly said, “There is nothing like that. Many people will discuss and criticize. But please do not pay attention to any rumor until I give a statement.”
Swastika also said, “I am with the project as the lead actress. I am an artiste, I will act. It is the responsibility of the channel seniors to decide which serial will go to which slot and what the TRP would be.” She added, “It is not my task to see whether my project goes at the 3 pm slot, the 3 am slot, or the 9.30 pm slot. I am an artist. My task is to work with my team, and I am doing that. Frankly, I am happy that Zee Bangla is bringing a new slot in the afternoon. Khola Hawa is the first serial in that slot.'
Swastika has a long-standing relationship with Zee Bangla. She was previously the heroine of the hit mega Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay. She also grabbed the award of the best mother-in-law in Zee Bangla Sonar Sangsar Award that recently took place.
