As Apple released the first full official trailer of its upcoming Mahershala Ali starrer Swan Song, audiences are in awe about the intensity of the clip. The emotional drama looks promising and seems to deal with many diverse themes.
Two-time Oscar winning actor Ali is presented as a husband and soon-to-be-father who is surviving a terminal illness. Set in future, human cloning is accessible in the movie, and Ali could be seen confused in deciding whether he wants to live or die in mind of his loved ones.
The two-minute trailer portrays the protagonist in a worsening condition of his disease, while his medical condition remains a secret even from his pregnant wife, who is played by Naomie Harris. If he has to go for cloning which will carry all of his physical as well as mental traits, the health status should remain hidden according to his doctor, and Ali could be seen perplexed.
The theme dealt in the movie is worth waiting for, as he began to rethink if he could really allow someone else to take his place. From the promising trailer, it is a clear assumption to make that the movie is going to be an intense watch, which will leave a mark on all of our minds. Helmed by Benjamin Cleary, the movie marks his debut feature after his Oscar-winning 2015 short movie Stutterer. The movie will also be the debut production of Ali, and it also has Glenn Close, Awkwafina and Adam Beach handling prominent roles in the cast.
