Sushmita Sen’s Taali on OTT: The actress revisits the Taali moments from the webseries

Even though Sushmita Sen had the entire ‘universe’ (quite literally) at her feet a very tender age, she never had it easy. In an earlier interview, Sushmita Sen had revealed that, the ‘iconic’ hand-gloves that the whole world saw after she was crowned the Miss Universe was not gloves at all! Sushmita Sen went onto reveal that, those ‘gloves’ were, in fact, socks that her mother had got for her!

Speaking about this, one does get reminded of her most awaited upcoming film ‘Taali’, in which Sushmita Sen plays the role of the much-celebrated transgender Shreegauri Sawant. Ever since the time the film ‘Taali’ was announced, it has been making news for all the right reasons. Today, Sushmita Sen took to social media and posted an extremely endearing and heart-touching video of her ‘revisiting’ the ‘taali’ moments from the film.

Sushmita Sen captioned the post stating, ““Tu laakh gira de bijli mujhpe, main toh satrang banu” Revisiting the #Taali moments that will always stay with me. #TaaliOnJioCinema streaming free Aug 15”. The series ‘Taali’ is being directed by the well-known Marathi filmmaker Ravi Jadhav. The hard-hitting script of the web series has been written by Kshitij Patwardhan, Amol Udgirkar, and Edwin Desouza.

As for Sushmita Sen, she will be seen playing the role of Shreegauri Sawant. The series is a biopic on India’s most celebrated transgender Shreegauri Sawant. The said series has been created by Arjun Singgh Baren and Kartik D. Nishandar. After sharing the first look of the series, Sushmita Sen had captioned it as, “Sushmita Sen unveiled a poster of the transgender activist Gauri Sawant on October 6, 2022. Sharing the first look, she wrote, "Taali #firstlook as #ShreegauriSawant. Nothing makes me prouder & more grateful than to have the privilege of portraying this beautiful person & of bringing her story to the world!! Here’s to life & to everyone’s right to live it with dignity!!! I love you guys!!! #duggadugga”.
