Sushmita Sen will be completing 30 years in the film industry in 2024. Her journey from being Miss Universe to a Bollywood actress has been inspiring. At a time when she was actively working in films, the actress once decided to take a break from acting. Sushmita made a roaring comeback with her first OTT show, Aarya, on Disney+ Hotstar.
At the recently held Aarya 3 trailer launch, Sushmita opened up about her break from acting and how she was welcomed back with open arms.
Sushmita Sen on her 8-year-long hiatus
At the press conference of Aarya 3, Sushmita spoke about completing 3 decades in the industry next year. While speaking about the same, the actress revealed how she was welcomed into the industry after her 8-year-long hiatus.
"My biggest blessing in my life is that in 2024, it will be 30 years in this industry. At the age of 18, I was on a stage where I met so many people, and in these 30 years, whatever I have done, my people have always supported me. It is such a big thing," said Sushmita.
The actress further mentioned, "At a time when I took a break for eight years at the peak of my career, the industry welcomed me with so much love when I made a comeback, and it was all because of the audience. Till the time the audience wants to see me working as an actor, no one can do anything about it."

What's next for Sushmita?
On the work front, Sushmita returns with the third installment of her much-loved web show Aarya. Created by Ram Madhvani, the series also stars Ila Arun, Sikander Kher, Vikas Kumar, Indraneil Sengupta, and more. Aarya 3 will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on November 3, 2023.
