Sushmita Sen has recently been garnering immense praise for her performance in her latest outing Taali on Jio Cinema. Meanwhile, not only for her web series but the 1994 Miss Universe is also gathering the attention of the fans for one of her last year's news that took the internet by storm. Soon after the break up with her long-time boyfriend Rohman Shawl, the former IPL chairman Lalit Modi shared a few lovey-dovey pictures with Sushmita with a social media post that claimed her relationship with the Indian businessman. Post that, the actor found herself being allegedly called a 'gold digger,' to which the actress gave e befitting reply as well.

Sushmita took to social media and slammed the troller for their narrow mentality as soon all the trolls poured in calling her 'gold digger'. Recently in an interview with Barkha Dutt-led YouTube channel named Mojo Story, the Taali actor unveiled why she decided to respond to people's mean comments last year and mentioned she only shared the post to laugh at it as it was just amusing to her that people were calling her a gold digger and monetising by writing on her.

She further told Dutt that she only put up the social media post to make people learn that she was just laughing at the whole fiasco and also letting people know that they need to change with the generation. "People haven’t changed morally and ethically much," she added.
