Survivor: Arjun Sarja to host the Tamil version of the 90-day adventure reality show

Looks like more Kollywood actors are keen on making their debut on OTT platforms and television now. After Vijay Sethupathi and Tamannaah, Arjun Sarja is the latest to take the plunge into television. The Action King will be seen hosting the Tamil version of the popular reality show, Survivor, in which contestants will have to stay in an isolated island without any communication with the outside world. The last surviving participant in the island will be declared as the winner. The show, which has viewers across the world, will have its Tamil version telecast in Zee Tamil soon. The social media account of the channel announced the news with a one-minute promo of the show, which features a stylish Arjun dressed in a casual blazer.

We hear that the makers of the show were in talks with actors like Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan and Silambarasan to play the host, but finally Arjun agreed to come on board. Sivakarthikeyan, who acted along with the star in Mithran's Hero, unveiled the promo from his Twitter account. He expressed happiness to release the show's promo and wished the best to Arjun and the participants. The promo has Arjun attending a press meet in which he says that the 90-day show which will have 18 participants, is based on the popular Tamil saying 'uzhaicha dhaan pizhaikka mudiyum' (hard work is the key to success). The prize money for the show's winner will be one crore. 

It is expected that an announcement on more details of the show, including the participants from different walks of life, will be made soon. However, there are rumours doing the rounds that some of the celebs like Vanitha Vijaykumar, Vijayalakshmi and Sri Reddy have been approached to participate in the show. Meanwhile, Arjun who has a few films lined up in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu, has signed another project recently, titled The Feast, in Mollywood.  

Survivor will be streaming on ZEE 5.
