The big reveal is finally here! It's namma Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, who has provided voiceover for Sivakarthikeyan's Maaveeran. Sivakarthikeyan dropped a short video comprising Vijay Sethupathi's voiceover in which he says the film's tagline, "Veerame Jayam." There has been quite a buzz about who has provided the voiceover for the film and now that it's official, fans can heave a sigh of relief.
The combination of Vijay Sethupathi and Sivakarthikeyan is said to pique the interest of fans. Sivakarthikeyan plays a cartoonist, whose sketches on the character Maaveeran come to life in reality. And everytime the fictional character comes alive, one could hear Vijay Sethupathi's voice.
Sivakarthikeyan has headed to Dubai and Malaysia to promote his upcoming film, which is all set to hit screens on July 14. He had recently flown down to Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kochi and Chennai for the promotions.
Maaveeran, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker, Madonne Ashwin, is a fantasy comedy. While Aditi Shankar plays a journalist, Mysskin plays the antagonist and Sarita essays the role of Sivakarthikeyan's mother.
During the press meet in Chennai, Sivakarthikeyan had stated that he was mighty impressed by Madonne Ashwin's Maaveeran. "The kind of stories that Madonne takes up are quite unique and tough to handle. They also have a socially relevant message along with an ample dose of entertainment. When I watched Mandela, I thoroughly enjoyed the film and it appealed to all kinds of audiences. Maaveeran has got a similar treatment and has a socially relevant theme. However, there are absolutely no messages of 'karuthu' , but after you watch the film, you will feel good."
Bharath Shankar, who had earlier worked in Madonne Ashwin's Mandela, has scored the music, Vidhu Ayyanna has handled the cinematography and Philomin has worked on the editing. The digital rights have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video. Arun Viswa of Shanthi Talkies is bankrolling the project.
