Ace director Vetri Maaran today dropped the much-awaited update on Suriya's long-delayed Vaadi Vaasal at a press meet. The director stated that he is all set to begin shooting for the film as soon as he wraps up the work on the sequel to his critically acclaimed film Viduthalai. He added that the pre-production CG work has already begun in London and that the team is using animatronics for the bull portions that will be used in the film.
The director also revealed that he is still holding on to his pet project, the sequel to Vada Chennai. He stated that he will begin work on the project after he wraps up all his current commitments. The director added that it was the mutual respect and trust that Dhanush and he have in each other that they keep collaborating for their films.
When asked about collaborating with Thalapathy Vijay for a project, Vetri Maaran said that they have been discussing a joint collaboration for a very long time now and that Vijay is ready to jump into the bandwagon. He added that he will narrate a story to him once he wraps up his current projects. Vetri Maaran said that if Vijay agrees to the script, he will work together.
Vetri Maaran is busy working on the sequel to his film, Viduthalai. The first part of the period crime thriller had Soori making his debut as a lead actor and Vijay Sethupathi as the fugitive Vaathiyar. The star cast includes Bhavani Sre, Gautham Menon, Rajiv Menon and Ilavarasu to name a few.
The plot revolves around an honest constable named Kumaresan, who is roped in for an operation to capture the fugitive leader of a separatist group, but soon, his life takes a dramatic turn. The film was critically acclaimed by critics and audiences alike.-
