Suriya-starrer Kanguva is slated for a theatrical release on November 14. The film is written and directed by filmmaker Siruthai Siva, and is backed by Studio Green production banner. With only a few weeks left for the release, the film has undergone the censor process.
Kanguva is an upcoming Tamil film, headlined by actor Suriya. Ahead of the film’s release on November 14, the makers have submitted the film for the censor certification. As per the social media buzz, the film has been censored U/A, and the final cut of the film runs for two hours and 34 minutes.
Kanguva is directed by Siruthai Siva in his maiden collaboration with Suriya. The film is expected to span several years, and will have a mix of fantasy elements. However, the makers have not revealed the plot of the film.
Apart from Suriya, the upcoming film will also feature Hindi actors Bobby Deol and Disha Patani, Yogi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, and K. S. Ravikumar and others. With a release in around 3500 screens, the film is planned to hit theatres in eight languages, including Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, English, French, and Spanish. The team is planning to recreate Suriya’s voice in every language, using advanced AI technology.

Kanguva’s post-theatrical streaming rights are bagged by Prime Video. An OTT release date will be unveiled once the Suriya-starrer completes the theatrical run. The film has music by Devi Sri Prasad, with Vetri Palanisamy cranking the camera. Nishadh Yusuf has handled the edits.
After Kanguva, Suriya has announced two projects. The actor has completed shooting for Suriya 44, which is helmed by filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj. Santhosh Narayanan is scoring music for the film which has Pooja Hegde as the female lead. Suriya also announced a new project with RJ Balaji at the helm of it.
