Suriya is gearing up to make a grand comeback to the big screens after a long gap with Kanguva, the upcoming period fantasy film. The cast and crew of the Siva directorial attended the grand audio launch event of the film in Chennai, yesterday (October 26, 2024). As expected, Suriya addressed the audiences at the event and extensively spoke about Kanguva, and working on the project. Later, he also conveyed wishes to Thalapathy Vijay, for the latter’s grand political entry.

During his speech at the Kanguva audio launch event, Suriya recalled his Loyola College days. The actor recalled how he teamed up with Udhayanidhi Stalin, who was his junior in the college, for multiple projects. Later, he opened up about his college senior and ‘Nanbar’ (friend), Thalapathy Vijay, to the audience's excitement. “I have another friend in Loyola College, and he is now set to pursue a new journey,” stated Suriya, as the stadium erupted.

The Kanguva actor, who expressed his excitement about Thalapathy Vijay’s political entry, wished the Leo actress all the good luck and success in his new field of interest. Suriya’s lovely speech has left the Vijay fans, highly excited. The admirers of the GOAT actor are now resharing the videos of Suriya’s Kanguva audio launch speech, and thanking the National Award-winning actor for wishing their idol, as he is gearing up to make a grand political entry.

Thalapathy Vijay and Suriya first teamed up in 1997, for the family-action drama film, Nerrukku Ner. The movie, which features the actors as arch-rivals, was a critical and commercial success. Later in 2001, the duo reunited for Siddique’s Friends, which is an official remake of a blockbuster Malayalam movie of the same name. The movie, which emerged as a massive blockbuster, is now streaming on Sun NXT, Disney+ Hotstar, and OTTplay Premium.
