Tamil superstar Suriya joined his wife Jyothika at her gym in Mumbai . He shared a video giving a glimpse into their workout sessions. It seems Suriya and Jyothika have long been working out together, pushing the limits of their fitness with various exercises.

Most of the exercises Suriya and Jyothika perform are not regular body-building exercises. These workouts are unconventional in a typical gym setting. However, with the ever-evolving concept of fitness, the exercises have undergone significant changes.

Suriya and Jyothika inspire their fans.

In the video, Suriya and Jyothika can be seen performing a set of exercises that test their endurance, strength, and stamina. These exercises mostly fall within the category of functional fitness, which focuses on improving an individual's ability to perform everyday tasks and activities with ease and efficiency.

Unlike traditional gym workouts that often isolate specific muscle groups, functional fitness exercises typically involve movements that mimic real-life activities, such as lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting.

Jyothika has become a fitness role model as she frequently posts her workout videos on her Instagram page. The 45-year-old star has shown that it's never too late to start something new or improve one's health and fitness level.

On the other hand, Suriya has long been a fitness inspiration, especially since he flaunted his washboard abs in director Gautham Menon's cult classic Vaaranam Aayiram. He looks even more stunning in his upcoming movie Kanguva , in which he plays a medieval warlord.

On the career front

Jyothika was last seen in the Bollywood movie Shaitaan. The horror drama was a big hit at the box office, grossing more than Rs 200 crore from ticket sales.

While Suriya is awaiting the release of Kanguva this year, he is also set to join director Karthik Subbaraj's next project.
