Suriya in talks to play the antagonist in Dhoom 4? Here’s the truth

Suriya, the National Award-winning actor is going through an exciting phase in his acting career. The popular star is all set to return to the big screens, with the upcoming period fantasy film, Kanguva. Later, the actor has an exciting line-up of films, including Suriya 44 and Vaadivaasal. Recently, it was rumoured that Suriya is in talks to play the villain in Dhoom 4, the upcoming fourth installment in the celebrated Bollywood film franchise.

Suriya to play the villain in Dhoom 4?

Recently, the rumour mills suggested that Suriya is approached to play the lead antagonist in Dhoom 4. According to the grapevine, the Soorarai Pottru actor is said to be in advanced talks to play the villain, in the upcoming fourth installment in the Dhoom franchise. The new updates came out as a big surprise for the fans of Suriya fans and the cinephiles, who got all excited about the actor’s first direct Bollywood film. However, recent updates suggest that the rumours are completely baseless.

According to the recent reports, Suriya is in no way associated with the upcoming fourth installment in the Dhoom franchise. The latest updates suggest that the actor has no plans to sign a Hindi film anytime soon, even though he is currently based in Mumbai and recently purchased a new home in the city. The National Award-winning actor is solely focusing on his upcoming Tamil projects for now. The recent updates have left the Suriya fans and cinephiles, disheartened.

Suriya’s upcoming films

As reported earlier, Suriya is currently busy with the filming of his 44th outing, which has been tentatively titled Suriya 44. The movie, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, is expected to be released by mid-2025. Later, the celebrated actor will being the filming of his long-delayed ambitious project Vaadivaasal. The period action drama, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Vetrimaaran, reportedly features Suriya in a double role, as a father and son. A major update on the same is expected to be out soon.
