Suriya is gearing up for the release of Kanguva on November 14. Ahead of the release, the actor is busy promoting his film. While speaking on the sidelines of promotion, Suriya gave the much-needed confirmation that his film with director Vetrimaaran, Vaadivaasal, is still very much on.
We had earlier reported that actor Suriya and director Vetrimaaran will be working in a Tamil film titled Vaadivaasal. The film is expected to be on jallikattu sports, and earlier the makers had released video of Suriya practicing bull-taming.

However, speaking to Hollywood Reporter, Suriya confirmed that the project is very much on and will begin once the parties involved finish their other commitments.
“We did two days of shoot. He (Vetrimaaran) is finishing his film Viduthalai and Thanu sir is also waiting. My bulls too are waiting. We should hopefully start soon,” Suriya said. Vaadivaasal is backed by Kalaipuli S Thanu under V Creations banner. The makers are yet to announce the release date of the film.
Filmmaker Vetrimaaran is currently working on the second part of his period action drama Viduthalai. The first part is available for streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. Starring Soori in the lead role, the film is about a rookie cop who is torn between his uniform and people’s movement against oppression.
