Suriya confirms his return as Rolex; to team up with Lokesh Kanagaraj for two films?

Suriya is all set to return to the big screens after a long gap, with Kanguva. The period fantasy film, which features the popular star in a double role, is directed by hitmaker Siva. The leading man, who is now busy with the massive promotional campaign of the film, recently opened up about his upcoming projects. In an interview with a leading media, Suriya confirmed that he is set to return as the celebrated character ‘Rolex’ from Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram, shortly.

Suriya to return as Rolex soon

In a recent promotional interview, Suriya opened up about his upcoming films and confirmed his return as Rolex. The actor, who spoke about the sequels in the pipeline, revealed that Rolex will return shortly, with the upcoming Karthi starrer, Kaithi 2. According to Suriya, the discussions on Kaithi 2’s story, and his part in the film are currently going on. A final decision will be made, once the scripting of the film is finished.

Suriya to team up with Lokesh Kanagaraj for two films?

In that case, it is also safe to assume that Suriya and Lokesh Kanagaraj will team up for two back-to-back films, in the future. The National Award-winner is confirmed to be a part of the director’s next outing Kaithi 2, which stars Karthi in the lead role. Later, the actor-director duo is confirmed to reunite for the Rolex standalone film, or their long-delayed superhero project, Irumbu Kai Mayavi. However, Suriya and Lokesh Kanagaraj are planning to finalise their third collaboration, only after the release of Kaithi 2.

Suriya as Rolex in Vikram

For the uninitiated, Suriya made a cameo appearance in post-climax scenes of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram, as the super villain Rolex. The National Award-winner's outstanding performance in the negative character, and his new look in the film, highly impressed the audience.
