Suriya 45 update: RJ Balaji, Suriya take part in pooja ceremony; was Trisha spotted?

Actor Suriya, who was last seen in Kanguva, joined the pooja ceremony of his upcoming film Suriya 45, which will be helmed by RJ Balaji. The team was seen present at the Masaniamman Temple near Pollachi, marking their first shot to start the project on an auspicious note.

We had earlier reported that actor Suriya and RJ Balaji will be collaborating for a film which is tentatively called Suriya 45. The main crew of the film, including RJ Balaji, and Suriya were spotted at the Masaniamman Temple near Pollachi on Wednesday, conducting the pooja of the film. Looks like the team will enter into production soon, without any further delay.

It is also expected that Trisha will be part of Suriya 45, playing the female lead. If it is indeed true, it will mark her reunion with Suriya after Aaru and Mounam Pesiyadhe. Suriya 45 is bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures and will have music by AR Rahman.

Suriya 45 will mark the first time RJ Balaji, who is also an actor himself, will be directing Suriya. All eyes are on this film, which will hopefully be the bounce-back film for Suriya who tasted failure with the recently released Kanguva. Meanwhile, Suriya also working with Karthik Subbaraj for Suriya 44, which is eyeing for summer 2025 release.

RJ Balaji’s Sorgavaasal ready for release

RJ Balaji is expecting the release of Sorgavaasal, which will be released on November 29. With RJ Balaji headlining the film, it also stars Selvaraghavan, Natty, Karunaas, Saniya Iyappan, Sharaf-U-Dheen, Hakkim Shah, Balaji Sakthivel, Anthonythasan, Ravi Raghavendra, and Samuel Robinson.

Censored A, the film is set in a prison and is helmed by Sidharth Vishwanath in his debut. Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film.
