Suriya 44, the highly anticipated project, marks the first collaboration of Suriya and director Karthik Subbaraj. The shooting of the untitled movie, which is touted to be a period action drama, started rolling in Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, recently. Popular actress Pooja Hegde has been roped in to play the female lead opposite the National Award-winning actor, in the film. If the recent reports are to be believed, the Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo actress, who is set to make a comeback to Tamil cinema, has hiked her fees for Suriya 44.

Pooja Hegde charges THIS whopping amount for Suriya 44?

According to the grapevine, Pooja Hegde was earlier charging approximately Rs. 3 to 3.5 crore, per film. However, the actress who is now set to make a comeback to South cinema after a short gap, has hiked her fees. The rumour mills suggest that Pooja has charged Rs. 4 crore for the upcoming Suriya-starrer directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The actress is reportedly playing an author-backed role in Suriya 44, which marks her first onscreen collaboration with both the National Award-winning actor and the acclaimed filmmaker.

Suriya 44 first-shot video raises expectations

The Suriya 44 first-shot video, which was released on social media on the day the film went on floors, created quite a stir on social media. The one-of-a-kind video, which is a first-time attempt in Tamil cinema, featured leading man Suriya in a never-seen-before avatar. The stunning visuals and electrifying background score added immense intensity to the video, which immediately went viral. From the Suriya 44 first-shot video, it is safe to assume that director Karthik Subbaraj is set to create a memorable cinematic experience with the untitled project.
