Suriya 44: Meet the technical crew of Karthik Subbaraj’s film

Now that we know actor Suriya and filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj are collaborating for a film tentatively titled Suriya 44, the makers of the movie unveiled the technical crew members one by one on social media recently. The film will be co-produced by Suriya's home banner 2D Entertainment and Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films.

Suriya 44 crew unveiled

On Wednesday, the makers unveiled the technical crew members of Suriya 44 one by one. While it was already announced that Santhosh Narayanan would be scoring the music, it is now revealed that Shreyaas Krishna will be cranking the camera. The other members include Shafique Mohamed Ali handling the edits, and Jacki will be the art director. Kecha Khamhpakdee will be the action director and Praveen Raja will be the costume designer.

It is to be noted that Suriya 44 will mark the first time the actor will be collaborating with Karthik Subbaraj who last helmed the critically and commercially successful film Jigarthanda DoubleX last year. Suriya 44 will be jointly backed by 2D Entertainment and Stone Bench Films. A release date is yet to be announced.

Pooja Hegde in Suriya 44?

While the makers have unveiled the full list of the technical crew, they have kept silence on the cast. We don’t know anyone else who are officially cast in Suriya 44. However, as per reports, it is believed that actor Pooja Hegde will be joining the film as the female lead. If the news is indeed true, it will mark her first time working with Suriya and Karthik Subbaraj.

Meanwhile, Suriya, who was last seen as Rolex in Vikram, is expecting the release of Kanguva with director Siruthai Siva. The big-budget fantasy action drama is scheduled to hit the big screens sometime this year. The actor also announced a film with Sudha Kongara tentatively titled Suriya 43. However, citing that the project requires more time, the work on the film is going at a slow pace.
