Suriya 43 shoot update – Suriya and Sudha Kongara’s film to start rolling in March; Read details

Suriya and Sudha Kongara, the celebrated actor-director duo of Tamil cinema, are now set to reunite for a new project, after the massive success of Soorarai Pottru. The upcoming project, which marks Suriya’s 43rd outing in the film industry, has been tentatively titled Suriya 43. Earlier it was reported that the movie, which is touted to be a period gangster film, will go on floors by the beginning of 2024. But the shoot was further delayed due to various technical reasons.

However, the latest updates suggest that the Suriya-starrer is finally set to go on floors in March 2024. As per the reports, director Sudha Kongara and her team have finalised the shooting locations for the film, which also features Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya Fahadh, and Bollywood actor Vijay Varma in the pivotal roles.

Suriya and Dulquer Salmaan to start shooting March?

If the latest reports are to be believed, the first schedule filming of the upcoming Sudha Kongara directorial will be majorly shot at the special sets which have been constructed in Madurai. Along with Suriya, Dulquer Salmaan, who plays an important role in the film, is also expected to join the Madurai shooting schedule of the project. The full title of the film has not been revealed, though the second part of the title was unveiled as Purananooru. The rest of the star cast including Nazriya Fahadh and Vijay Varma are expected to join the project in April 2024.

According to DT Next, Trichy and Chidambaram are the other main locations for the film, in Tamil Nadu. Interestingly, the makers of Suriya 43 are planning to have an extensive shooting schedule for the film in the Rewari district in Haryana. Along with Suriya, both Dulquer Salmaan and Vijay Varma are also expected to be a part of the Haryana schedule of the film. Reportedly, the shooting of the project was delayed because the leading man wanted to wrap up the entire filming and dubbing works of his next outing Kanguva, before joining Suriya 43.

Meanwhile, some unconfirmed reports suggest that Dulquer Salmaan and Nazriya Fahadh are playing a couple in the film. Suriya, on the other hand, is expected to romance another popular actress in the Sudha Kongara directorial. However, these reports have not been officially confirmed so far.
