Suriya 42: The much-awaited update on Siva's big budget project, starring Suriya, to be out on THIS date?

Fans of Suriya have been awaiting an update on the actor's next, Suriya 42 (tentative title), for quite some time. Its makers are tight-lipped about the same, though various sources suggest that the much-awaited update will be out soon. Amid speculations, Dhananjayan Govind, who is part of the team's production, came up with a surprise.

However, he immediately deleted the tweet he posted which mentioned the date on which the crucial update will be revealed and asked fans to be patient for some more time. The movie is currently making the right noise in terms of its pre-release business.

Directed by Siva, the pan Indian film will be released in around 10 languages. Disha Patani makes her Tamil debut with the movie which has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The project marks the musician's collaboration with Siva after Veeram and Suriya after Singam 2.

The team is yet to reveal much about its cast as well, though filming of crucial schedules have been going on at a brisk pace for a while. The big budget project bankrolled by Studio Green is likely to hit the screens in 2024. A motion poster of the film was unveiled a few months ago, offering a glimpse into its genre.

Set against two time periods, the action drama is one of the most-expected Tamil films among cinephiles. According to Dhananjayan, the team is planning to come up with an update on April 14. Fans, however, are wondering why he deleted the tweet and are waiting for a surprise.  

Suriya is expected to join Vetrimaaran's ambitious project Vaadivaasal after completing Suriya 42. Meanwhile, there are speculations doing the rounds on his special appearance in Vijay, Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo.
