The news of the Bank of Baroda putting Sunny Deol's Mumbai mansion up for sale to recoup a loan of Rs 56 crore has been making headlines for quite some time now. It was reported that the bank was also seeking reimbursement for loan interest. The actor-filmmaker's Juhu home was scheduled to be sold via online auction, but the Bank of Baroda rescinded the notification the following day, citing "technical reasons." In the midst of the uproar, Sunny eventually commented, saying that the issue was none of anyone's business but his own.
The actor has been basking in the success of Gadar 2, which is currently one of his most successful films to date. However, he has been embroiled in a dispute over his luxurious Juhu, Mumbai, property for the past two days.
The Bank of Baroda auctioned off Sunny Deol's villa on August 20 to pay back a loan it had made to the actor. The bank was also seeking reimbursement for loan interest. Later, however, for "technical difficulties," the Bank of Baroda retracted the e-auction notice for Sunny Deol's Juhu property. The actor's representatives verified the auction notice on Sunday, but they said the stated sum was incorrect and that the star would be paying off the debt within the next couple of days.
