Sunflower Season 2 new glimpse - Sunil Grover is back as 'murder suspect' Sonu | Watch

Created by Vikas Bahl, Sunflower was renewed for a second season on a streaming platform. The makers of Sunflower Season 2 dropped the teaser of the show last year. A few months down the line, ZEE5 has now shared a new glimpse of the web series, starring Sunil Grover in the lead role. Three years after Sunflower's OTT release, season 2 is expected to be released soon in 2024. The new glimpse of the web show marks Sunil's comeback as 'murder suspect' Sonu.

Sunil Grover is back as Sonu in Sunflower Season 2!

ZEE5 dropped the new motion poster of Sunflower Season 2. While sharing the same on Instagram, the OTT platform mentioned that India's most loved 'murder suspect' Sonu is coming back with double 'bawaal and fun'. 

While the makers are yet to share the premiere date, they treated the audience with a New Year gift. Season one of Sunflower can be watched for free on the streaming platform.

Vikas Bahl on Sunflower Season 2

In an official statement, Vikas Bahl recalled the response to the first season of Sunflower. He said that he is humbled by the immense love and support his show garnered from fans. The director stated that Sunil's portrayal of Sonu Singh resonated a lot with audiences. Speaking about the second season, Vikas mentioned, "With the upcoming second season, our aim is to elevate this suspenseful murder mystery to new heights. Viewers can anticipate more layers, more intrigue, and a deeper exploration of the beloved characters."

For the uninitiated, the first season of Sunflower was released on June 11, 2021. It consisted of 8 episodes. Besides Sunil, the star cast of the web show includes Ashish Vidyarthi, Ranvir Shorey, and Mukul Chaddha in pivotal roles.
