Varsha Bollamma and Kavya Thapar play the female leads in the mystical thriller directed by VI Anand

Sundeep Kishan, who tried his hand at a KGF-inspired action saga called Michael earlier this year, is working on multiple films simultaneously. While he plays a meaty role in Dhanush’s Captain Miller, he’s also wrapped shooting for the Thiruchitrambalam actor’s directorial effort D50 and is working on Ooru Peru Bhairavakona and Maaya One.
While Captain Miller hits screens across multiple languages this Pongal, his mystical thriller with writer and director VI Anand—Ooru Peru Bhairavakona—also has a release date. The latter will release in theatres on February 9, 2024, locking horns with Siddu Jonnalagadda's Tillu Square. Kavya Thapar and Varsha Bollamma play female leads in the thriller produced by Razesh Danda and presented by Anil Sunkara under AK Entertainments and Hasya Movies.
In the release date poster unveiled by the makers, Sundeep Kishan holds a magic wand. Multiple songs from the film—Nijame Ne Chebuthunna and Humma Humma—are out already and have struck a chord with music buffs. Shekar Chandra scores the music. With nearly two months left for its release, team Ooru Peru Bhairavakona is planning an extensive promotional campaign soon.
The teaser, released a few months ago, was equally promising. Ooru Peru Bhairavakona is currently in its last leg of shooting, and the schedule is being filmed in Hyderabad. Raj Thota cranks the camera for the film, while Chota K Prasad is the editor. A Ramanjaneyulu is the art director, with Bhanu Bhogavarapu and Nandu Savirigana writing the dialogues.
Before Ooru Peru Bhairavakona, Sundeep Kishan teamed up with VI Anand for Tiger, a friendship drama also starring Rahul Ravindran and Seerat Kapoor. VI Anand went onto direct films like the critically acclaimed Okka Kshanam, Nikhil Siddhartha’s horror comedy Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada and Ravi Teja’s periodic sci-fi thriller Disco Raja as well.
