Dhanush, who scored a huge hit in Telugu and Tamil with his bilingual Sir, is returning with a periodic action thriller Captain Miller, written and directed by Arun Matheswaran, who helmed Rocky previously. Priyanka Mohan plays the female lead in the film that also features Sundeep Kishan, Dr Shiva Rajkumar in crucial roles. G. Saravanan and Sai Siddharth are producing the film.

The teaser launch event of the Telugu version of Captain Miller was held in Hyderabad today in the presence of Sundeep Kishan. Commemorating Dhanush’s birthday, the actor even cut a cake for the star and interacted with fans, thanking them for their love. Captain Miller is scheduled to release in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi on December 15.

“The teaser is being launched in Hyderabad first and such an event was only planned for the Telugu version. We have tried to make something very special. It’s a film we’ll all be proud of. On behalf of Telugu audiences, I wish Dhanush (anna) a very happy birthday,” Sundeep Kishan, who’s awaiting the release of Ooru Peru Bhairavakona in the coming weeks said.

“I hope you all liked the teaser. I haven’t discussed this on a public forum yet. But amidst you all, I would like to tell that this is all the more special because I’ll be sharing screenspace with Dhanush in a film that’s directed by him. I have also shot for it over 10 days. Thank you all for the love and we’ve consciously tried to do something out of the box with Captain Miller.”

GV Prakash Kumar scores the music for the film while the crew also comprises cinematographer Siddhartha Nuni, production designer T Ramalingam and editor Nagooran. After his directorial D50, Dhanush will move onto D51, a political thriller directed by Sekhar Kammula, a pan-Indian film, touted to be a multistarrer.
