Director Sundar C's Coffee With Kadhal, which evoked decent response among movie buffs, was supposed to release on October 7, today. The release of the multi-starrer flick got postponed owing to the homongous reception Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan has been receiving from across Tamil Nadu and other territories.
The makers have now come up with its new release date; the rom-com will arrive at movie halls on November 4. Jiiva, Jai, Srikanth, Amritha, Malvika Sharma and Aishwarya Dutta among others essay lead actors in the project.
Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music for the film; the remix version of the popular song Rum Bum Bum from Michael Madana Kama Rajan is said to be one of the highlights of the movie which has dialogues penned by K Selva Bharathy. E Krishnasamy and Fenny Oliver have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the film.
Dhivyadharshini, Redin Kingsley, Yogi Babu, Vichu Vishwanath and Pratap Pothen are a few other artists who will be seen enacting significant roles in the project which brings Sundar C along with Jiiva and Jai for the second time after Kalakalappu 2. Sundar C and Jai had also shared screen presence in Pattampoochi which was released earlier this year.
Actor-politician-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies has acquired theatrical rights of the movie a while ago. Khushbu's Avni Cinemax is one of the producers of the film, the trailer of which was released recently.
Coffee With Kadhal is the second film of Sundar C in the post pandemic era after Aranmanai 3 (streaming on Zee5) which was released in theatres in October last year. The movie's story revolves around a grand wedding that happens in Ooty and a few confusion pertaining to the event.
