The teaser of Sunainaa's revenge thriller, Regina is all set to drop on May 30. The makers made the announcement on their social handle and revealed that more updates will be available for the film soon. This is Sunainaa's first women-centric film.

It was not long ago that news of Sunainaa getting kidnapped had gone viral on social media. Many had dismissed the same as a publicity stunt. The actress and the film's director Domin D'Silva recently appeared in a news clip of a TV channel. It has the anchor clarifying that Sunainaa isolated herself to prepare for her character in the movie Regina.

The makers revealed that the news was indeed part of the film promotions. However, the move hasn't gone very well with the fans, who called it a cheap publicity trick, and that it was highly immature and irresponsible.

According to Domin D'Silva, Regina is about a homemaker trying to achieve extraordinary things when she is pushed to the limits. The film was shot in Udumalpet, Pollachi and Varkala.

Pavan K Pavan handles the cinematography, Toby John will be in charge of the editing and Kamarudin will handle the art direction. Domin had earlier helmed Malayalam films like Paipin Chuvattile Pranayam and Star.

Sathish Nair, who has bankrolled the project under Yellow Bear Production, has scored the music as well.

Sunainaa was last seen in Vishal's Laththi, an action thriller helmed by A Vinoth Kumar. The film marked his directorial debut. Sunainaa was seen as Kavitha, Vishal's wife in the film. Laththi was bankrolled by Ramana and Nandha Durairaj marking their maiden production venture. The film, however, didn't set the cash registers ringing.
